It’s always a treat to team up with Reece of Donzoko Brewing fame. Torn between a West coast session IPA and a Nelson Sauvin pilsner, we decided to do both. Over a grist of our preferred Bamberger pilsner malt and a touch of biscuity Munich malt, we whirlpooled heavily with Chinook and Centennial for a resinous, dank base and prominent bitterness, before a pre-lagering dry hop of Nelson Sauvin to bring delicate aromas of gooseberry and light citrus to this crisp and sessionable IPA/pilsner hybrid.
